Our Components: Recreation

Mira’s Recreation Program is developed around the goals and desires of supported Individuals. The program focuses on improving the quality of life for Individuals by providing individually focused activities with an emphasis on fitness and skill development.

Supported Individuals make suggestions and requests as to what activities they would like to try. These suggestions are then implemented into the monthly schedule based on the theme, and the Individuals choose which activities they would like to participate in for that month.

Some examples of our activities include Fitness and Swimming Outings, ACT Dance, Basketball, Cooking Class, and Art Classes.
